Description: This scheme provides a replacement classroom, a new external teaching area and ancillary accommodation. The extension is built into the bank and created a sheltered circular external seating and teaching area.

 

Large glazed doors extend the classroom into the external landscape and the rooms are naturally lit and ventilated to outside, whilst being shaded from solar gain by louvres at the eaves. Brick and cedar walls with composite aluminium and timber windows, sit below a sedum roof, rooting the building in the landscape
