Robert Lett
AA Final RIBA — born 1949

Robert studied architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture and Darwin College, Cambridge, and has been a qualified architect since 1977.

During a spell in Helsinki in the early seventies he worked for Professor Jaakko Laapotti on the design of a new church for the town of Kouvola and a swimming pool in the city of Tampere.

From 1974 to 1981 he worked in London as a principal architect for the London Borough of Lewisham being responsible for the Sunderland Road / Church Rise housing development and Bellingham Community Centre – (won an internal competition within department).

In 1981 he moved to join the Glazzard Architects Co-operative as a founding member.

From 1990 he has been a partner/director in Lett + Sweetland Architects and was a visiting tutor at Birmingham School of Architecture from 1998 to 2004.

 

Karl Greenway
BA Hons Arch. Dip. Arch. RIBA — born 1957

Karl began his career as an industrial kitchen designer in 1975, but soon changed to architecture and became a fully qualified architectural technician in 1979 (ONC and HNC), working with Peter Hing and Jones Architects in Birmingham.

He took up full time architectural education at the Birmingham School of Architecture and became qualified in 1987. He subsequently worked for Associated Architects in Birmingham and Ian Stainburn in Ledbury before joining the Glazzard Architects Co-operative in 1989.

Since 1990 Karl has worked with Lett + Sweetland Architects and became a partner/director of the firm in 2002.

Nicholas Hatton
BA Hons Arch., Dip. Arch. — born 1971

Nicholas began his Architectural career with Timothy Clist Architect as a trainee Architectural Technician. In 1987 Timothy Clist Architect by amalgamation became Clist and Chandler Architects. During his 13 years with the practice Nick obtained BTEC, ONC, HNC and HND qualifications. He added further to his raft of technical qualifications with a BA (honours) Architecture.

Nick joined Lett + Sweetland in 2002 and liked it so much he has been here ever since! During his time at the Practice he has achieved a Diploma in Architecture and been awarded a Certificate in Architecture. He is presently studying to complete his RIBA Part III Exams.

 
 

Peter Sweetland
BA Hons Dip. Arch. RIBA — born 1942

Following an initial career as a Highways Engineer with various County Councils, Peter studied architecture at Birmingham School of Architecture where he obtained a first class honours degree and an RIBA commendation for student of the year. He qualified as an architect in 1980.

From 1981 to 1990 Peter was a founding director of Glazzard Architects Co-operative practice in Worcester.

From 1990 to 2005 he has been a partner/ director in Lett + Sweetland Architects.

From 1989 to 1993 he was a visiting tutor at Birmingham School of Architecture.

Peter was a member of the Worcester Conservation Advisory Committee for many years and is currently Chairman of Worcester Headway Trust.

Peter is now consultant to Lett + Sweetland.
